As we close 2019, we have to share a sad farewell to two members of our Hitchin Office.
Sadly, we will be operating with a skeleton crew as we start 2020 as we say good bye and good luck at the end of this year to Alex Bettey who leaves to take some time out and to Jo Webb who has been offered her dream job working with horses.
Both have been very much part of the Hitchin Team and will be greatly missed but we wish them well and hope they will not be strangers at 8 West Alley.
The Dyspraxia Foundation head office closes at the end of business hours on Friday 20th December 2019.
Head Office and our Help line will reopen on Tuesday 7th January 2020.

The Motor Development and Impact Lab (MoDI Lab) at the University of Surrey would like to invite you to volunteer for a study investigating motor and cognitive processes. The study investigates the processes in the brain that facilitate the control of movement and performance on learning tasks.
A new opportunity has arisen to join our small but friendly team! You will be involved in supporting the growth and development of our membership and our network of local support groups around the UK.
We are looking for someone to develop strong relationships with individuals to help support our work in the wider community and play an active role in the growth of the charity. The role will also provide advice, training and organisational development support to existing and new voluntary support groups.
Must have previous office experience, be IT literate, a good communicator and have a good telephone manner.

On 26th July, the Dyspraxia Foundation called for Case Studies from adults living with dyspraxia to support Dyspraxia Awareness Week, 6 – 12th October 2019.
Thank you to the 40 adults who responded and kindly gave their consent for us to share their personal story to highlight this year’s campaign which focusses on dyspraxia in adulthood.
The case study form included several questions about the individual, their diagnosis and experience of living with the condition. Here are some of the comments in answer to the question ‘How would you like to see things change for adults with dyspraxia?’
Can you honestly believe it, it’s Day 7 of awareness week already! It goes without saying that Dyspraxia Awareness is 24/7, 365 days a year - but it’s important that for one week a year we all come together and shout as loud as we can!
