Following Government guidance issued earlier this week, the Dyspraxia Foundation have closed their offices for the health and safety of their volunteers and administration team until further notice. The Hitchin Team will be working remotely from home to ensure our services, news and information continues to be available to our members and our wider community. Trustees are closely monitoring the outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) and continuously assessing its potential impact on our operations, meetings, training and other events.
We are sad to announce that due to the ongoing, and dynamic situation with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) we have taken the decision to postpone our planned Adult Conference in Newcastle on Saturday 16th May.
We are committed to hosting another dedicated adult conference following on from the success in October 2019. We will confirm a date in the Autumn as soon as possible.

At Oxford Brookes University we are looking for adults (16+ years) with DCD / dyspraxia and parents of children with DCD / Dyspraxia to complete our questionnaire about road-crossing experiences. We would also like to hear from children with DCD / Dyspraxia but we need to hear from their parents first.

During Dyspraxia Awareness Week 2019 we focused on Dyspraxia in Adulthood. We are still deep within our awareness year focus on adults and are proud to re-share all our resources from that week for ease of access to everyone!
After the huge success of #TeamDyspraxia in 2019, we are glad to be back on the roads of London this July at the start of a new century! The Virgin Sport ASICS London 10K (Formally the British 10K) takes place this year on Sunday 5th July 2020 and we’d love for you to join us!
A huge thank you to everyone who has decided to become a member of the foundation over the last month or so.
Due to our recent staffing issues at HQ we are still working on the back log of our new members. We will have a full cohort of staff working at the office from Monday 3rd February and if you are waiting to here from us about your membership you should at some point after this date.

Researchers at Liverpool John Moore’s University (LJMU) are seeking children aged between 8 and 16 years old diagnosed or suspected as having DCD to take part in a research study.
The study uses motion capture and eye-tracking technology to assess how children with DCD move and where they look during walking and stair negotiation tasks.
