dates for the diary 2013...

Tuesday 12th March 7-9pm Cathy Parvin is going to talk about the new Education Law. She has attended an IPSEA training day so will be able to tell us...how to get a statement...what's a good statement....how special needs register works..etc. Cathy will give a synopsis of her days training for us.
The meeting will be help at in the Conference Room of the Group Office of City Electrical Factors above the Worcester Branch just off City Walls Road (Temperance Street, WR1 2AZ). There is parking for about 10 cars in the Car Park outside so come early if you want a space, otherwise there is a Car Park next door on the corner of Temperance Street and Charles Street.
As usual we will have a small raffle (and donations for raffle prizes gratefully received as have almost exhausted my stocks!) to buy a book for the Library and ask for a 50p donation for refreshment costs.

Sunday 23rd June 2-5pm ? - The suggestion was an informal Family get-together - Venue to be confirmed.

Tuesday 15th October 7-9pm - Meeting and AGM - Peter Jones has very kindly offered to join us to talk about Cranial Osteopathy and the benefits for Dyspraxia.
(Just a note, that while 'non-traditional 'approaches can work for some children, the Dyspraxia Foundation doesn't endorse or disapprove of any services available outside the NHS, the Parent Group is just helping you to make an informed choice with this information).

Tuesday 10th December 7-9pm - Xmas get-together - Anyone fancy organising a meal out for a change?

Hope these dates sound o.k. the general feedback has been that an evening meeting would be better.

FUNDRAISING FOR THE PARENT GROUP

We have raised £30 (thanks Jean and Jan) with the Yoga tokens very kindly donated by Alix Jones. We have 1 single token left for a Yoga session At Meridian Yoga at The Wheel of Life Centre in Malvern which we are asking for a donation of Approx £3.50 and 2 tokens for Yoga Courses (value £60), that we were asking for donations of about £30. So if Yoga is your thing (or a friends!), please get in touch.

So far we have raised £330 for the group so if any one has any ideas of a meaningful way to spend some of that money for the parent group (key speakers, etc), please let me know,

PARENT GROUP LIBRARY BOOKS

We are still missing a few of the newer books so if you could all have a check of yours (and your older childrens) bookshelves for any books that might belong to us and please either bring them along to the next Parent Group Meeting or Dizz kids, or you could post them back to me;
