Liam Plumridge to appear on Beyond Boundaries What Happened Next
An 18 year old from Suffolk will feature once again on national television after a life changing expedition which he participated in.
Liam Plumridge from Haverhill took part in the BBC 2 series Across The Andes Beyond Boundaries which saw him and nine fellow participants take part in a mighty expedition across Ecuador in South America which saw them go from the Amazon Rainforest before tackling the Andes Mountains and Cotopaxi Volcano, before finishing up at the Pacific Coast. All of the participants had physical disabilities, including Liam who has dyspraxia which affects a persons balance, co-ordination and ability to do simple tasks such as tie shoelaces or open tins.
On Sunday 22 March and Sunday 29 March on BBC 2 at 11pm, Liam will be appearing on Beyond Boundaries What Happened Next, which sees several of the participants from all three of the Beyond Boundaries series go back and talk about how Beyond Boundaries changed their lives. Since taking part in the expedition and since the broadcast of the programme, Liam has been active in raising awareness of Dyspraxia and the Dyspraxia Foundation and has been all over the country speaking about his experiences and making the little known disability more aware in the public domain.
Liams relationships with his family have strengthened since the expedition and once an unorganised person who had difficulties in the simplest tasks has now overcome these to be able to prepare for the world of work, move away from home and even get ready to move abroad.
Liam is currently preparing to be a holiday rep, something which he would have never been able to do if it was not for Beyond Boundaries.
Stop Press: Epidsode 2 featuring Liam is now scheduled for Sunday, 5th April at 22.50.
