Last month at our AGM and summer conference, we said farewell to an outstanding individual. Eleanor Howes served as Dyspraxia Foundation Chief Executive Officer for an incredible 30 years – a truly remarkable length of service. She achieved so much throughout her long tenure, and she touched the lives of thousands of people with her warmth and superb ability to build long-lasting relationships. We owe her our gratitude and wish her well in retirement.
Now, we are heading into a great new chapter. Following a successful recruitment process, we have recently appointed our new Chief Executive Officer. We received a good number of high-quality applications, and we are confident that we have selected the right person to power us forward by amplifying our ambitions, increasing our income, and strengthening our team, all of which will ultimately increase our impact, enabling even more children, young people, and adults with dyspraxia to reach their full potential at every stage in life.
The new postholder will start in early November and we certainly won’t be resting in the period between now and then; we are being led in the interim by our fantastic and long-serving Operations Manager, Jane. I am in regular contact with Jane and I never fail to be impressed by her great commitment and efficiency.
As the first chair in our organisation’s history to have dyspraxia, I’d love to hear what’s on your mind concerning dyspraxia and the work we undertake day in and day out. You’re welcome to contact me anytime by emailing .
Thank you for your continued support. I am excited about our future, and I am resolute in my belief that bright days lie ahead.
Best wishes,
Jonathan Levy
